Terms and conditions

These terms govern the relationship between YatesNuevos and anyone who hires its services in Cartagena, Colombia. They are accepted in writing before any payment.

What YatesNuevos is

YatesNuevos is a marine company in Cartagena that organizes and coordinates trips and onboard events, brokers vessel sales, manages vessels and publishes an index of the city's fleet.

For charters, YatesNuevos acts as organizer and intermediary. Sailing is provided by the operating company that holds the commercial license and is responsible for operating the vessel.

Boat catalog and levels

  • Every listing states its level: Selección YatesNuevos, Operation or Directory.
  • Selección YatesNuevos: we reviewed the documents and the Selección guarantee applies.
  • Operation: price and terms confirmed with the owner.
  • Directory: market reference information, not verified and not a booking offer. Owners may claim, correct or remove their listing.

Prices and bookings

  • Prices are per boat and for reference; your written quote is what counts.
  • Bookings are confirmed in writing with a 50% deposit. The balance is paid on the day.
  • Park fees and beach club consumption are not included unless stated.
  • A 30% surcharge applies in high season.

Selección guarantee

If a Selección vessel cannot sail for a reason attributable to it, or does not match the listing, we offer another of equal or higher category the same day or a 100% refund. Weather restrictions set by the maritime authority are not covered.

Safety

  • Registered capacity is never exceeded.
  • Departures only from authorized docks and marinas.
  • Two engines are required for the Rosario and San Bernardo routes.
  • The captain's safety decision is final.
  • Minors travel with their parents or guardians.

Protection of minors

Under Colombian Law 1336 of 2009, YatesNuevos rejects and reports any form of sexual exploitation of minors.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Colombian law. Disputes are resolved before the courts of Cartagena de Indias.
