Why share

A boat is used a few weeks a year. Its costs run all year.

Whoever buys a whole boat uses it a few weeks a year, yet mooring, crew, insurance and maintenance are paid every month. In the Club those costs are split among eight, and we handle the management.

How it works

Four steps, with nothing paid until the legal structure exists

  1. 01

    The group forms

Eight like-minded people join the founders' list. Joining costs nothing.

  2. 02

    The legal structure is created

Before any money is received, a dedicated legal vehicle for the vessel exists.

  3. 03

The vessel is bought with checked papers

Registration, ownership and liens are reviewed before signing. If its free days will be chartered, it is licensed as a passenger vessel.

  4. 04

    You sail, we manage

A rotating calendar, costs reported every month and maintenance handled by us.

What's included

What each co-owner gets

  • One-eighth of the vessel

Eight co-owners per vessel, each with a share.

  • About 40 days a year

Use on a rotating calendar among the co-owners.

  • Full management included

You just sail: we run the operation.

  • Shared, reported costs

Operating costs are split and reported every month.

  • Free days can go to charter

Days you don't use can go to charter and lower your cost, if the vessel is licensed as a passenger vessel.

  • A dedicated legal structure

It exists before any money is received.

Transparency

The Club's rules, in writing and without fine print

  1. 01

    No payments ahead of time

We accept no deposits, paid reservations or share holds until the legal vehicle exists.

  2. 02

Only a passenger vessel can be chartered

Recreational vessels cannot be chartered in Colombia. Only a passenger vessel linked to a company with a commercial license can.

  3. 03

    No promise of returns

Days you don't use can be chartered to lower your cost. Nothing more.

  4. 04

Beware of charges in the Club's name

If anyone asks you for money on behalf of the Club, it isn't us.
